Reference Number 0000393698 Question Deadline 08/25/2025 at 2:00 PM ET Questions are submitted online Yes The project consist of restoration and replacement existing roofs including, but not limited to: - Delegated engineering, including signed and sealed shop drawings and calculations for all items exposed to wind and field engineer solutions when site or concealed conditions deviate from, or are prohibitive to performing the work as shown in the drawings. - Fluid applied roof coating system. - Remove barrel tile roofing and install new tile roof system. - Remove shingle roof and install the new shingle roof system. - Remove and replace metal and barrel tile coping with new coping. - Remove and replace flashings and roof metals with new metal. - Manufactured coping, manufactured 2 piece flashings, manufactured drip edges, shop fabricated custom copings and custom metal shapes. - Stucco & plaster repair and painting. - Re-flash all roof mounted equipment, including but not limited to: curbs, vtrs, vents and supports. - Disconnect, remove, store, reinstall and reconnect roof equipment as required to perform the work. - It is important to note and understand that buildings 1 & 2 are pseudo-historic and are constructed of clay masonry and stucco/plaster. There is very limited as-built information available for most conditions and what has been observed in the field often deviates from the as-built information. The intent of the project is to match existing design as closely as possible while complying with current codes. For any /all areas where the plans or specifications are silent, conflict or lack of information, the contractor shall base his costs on the more expensive materials and/or methods of completing the work. DIRECTIONS: I-95 to 6th Avenue South. East to J Street. South on J Street to 8th Avenue South. 8th Avenue South east to K Street. North to school. The Board or its designee reserves the right to waive minor technicalities and irregularities in all Bids. IT IS IMPORTANT TO NOTE THAT BUILDINGS 1 & 2 ARE PSEUDO-HISTORIC AND ARE CONSTRUCTED OF CLAY MASONRY AND STUCCO/PLASTER. THERE IS VERY LIMITED AS-BUILT INFORMATION AVAILABLE FOR MOST CONDITIONS AND WHAT HAS BEEN OBSERVED IN THE FIELD OFTEN DEVIATES FROM THE AS-BUILT INFORMATION. THE INTENT OF THIS PROJECT IS TO MATCH EXISTING DESIGN AS CLOSE AS POSSIBLE WHILE COMPLYING WITH CURRENT CODES. FOR ANY/ALL AREAS WHERE THE PLANS OR SPECIFICATIONS ARE SILENT, CONFLICT OR LACKING INFORMATION, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BASE HIS COSTS ON THE MORE EXPENSIVE MATERIALS AND/OR METHODS OF COMPLETING THE WORK. CONTRACTOR WILL NOT BE PAID FOR EXTRA WORK RESULTING FROM POOR COORDINATION BY THE CONTRACTOR. The established Contract Goal for SBE participation for this Project is a minimum of 8% of School District of Palm Beach County Certified SBE firms. Based upon availability analysis of current data collected from registered vendors of the School District, the proportion of all construction services firms that are Certified SBEs, as defined in Paragraph 4.7 herein, and that are ready, willing, and able to perform the type of Work required to be performed under this Contract is estimated to be 15%. This percentage represents the SBE Subcontractor Participation Goal for this Contract
