Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Roselle, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The project includes Phase I Engineering and potentially Phase II Engineering for the construction of various bicycle and pedestrian facilities, streetscape and lighting improvements along the Irving Park Road corridor. The project will provide both off-street and on-street bike facilities along Irving Park Road or adjacent side streets throughout the Village limits. Intersection Improvements at Irving Park Road and Park Street will include high-visibility crosswalks, ADA ramps, and new pedestrian signals. The off-street path will be a 10-foot wide HMA shared-use path. On- street bike facilities will be along localstreets between two connections points at Irving Park Road (see attached detailed location map). The on-street bike routes will consist of pavement markings (sharrows and/or bike lanes) and signage. Intersection Improvements will occur at Irving Park Road and Park Street. These improvements will include high-visibility crosswalks, ADA ramps, and new pedestrian signals. Aesthetic enhancements will include decorative pavers and planters and will also improve safety: decorative pavers will increase crosswalk visibility and planters will increase separation of pedestrians and vehicles. New pedestrian lighting will be constructed throughout the project limits to improve visibility and safety. An existing storm water drainage ditch runs along the northside of Irving Park Road at the west end of the project. A pipe culvert will be installed, and the drainage ditch will be filled. The proposed path will be constructed along the proposed culvert.
