Construction of a new raw water intake and pump station to transport raw water from the Kentucky River to EKPC's J.K. Smith power plant in Winchester, KY. The project shall consist of constructing one new wedge wire intake screen in the Kentucky River, one 10-inch DI intake pipe in a steel casing pipe, cast-in-place wet well, pump station building including two vertical turbine pumps and appurtenances, screen air cleaning system, and all associated piping, valves, electrical and instrumentation and HVAC, and crushed stone access drive including clearing and grading, together with all related work as specified and shown on the Drawings. The project shall also include demolition of the existing raw water intake pump station and electrical equipment. Contractor shall furnish a performance and payment bond in an amount at least equal to the Contract Price as security for the faithful performance and payment of all of Contractor's obligations under the Agreement no later than ten (10) Days after award of Agreement. The bond shall remain in effect at least until one year after the date when final payment becomes due, except as otherwise provided by Applicable Law or by the Agreement. EKPC reserves the right to accept and/or reject any and all proposals. Bidder may not claim any indemnity, nor may bidder contest for whatever reason, the choice made by EKPC.
