Renovation of a military facility in Jacksonville, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a military facility.

This is a Design Build project at the B938 Armed Forces Reserve Center at NAS JAX is a 2-story, 56,000 SF facility built in 1978, housing offices, meeting rooms, restrooms, a gym, armory, weapons range, and mechanical areas. The current HVAC system, a constant volume multi-zone setup, is outdated and to be redesigned as an energy-efficient VAV system compliant with ASHRAE 90.1-2022 and 62 standards. The redesign includes new AHUs with VFDs, energy recovery, VAV terminals, hot water reheat, and potential use of solar thermal heating. A 2022 study revealed poor airflow in certain zones, requiring duct sizing evaluation and potential return air duct modifications.
