This project is to continue the replacement of selected water meters in the Western Service Area (Phase 3). Phase 3 is estimated to have a total of 8,003 meters to be replaced within the Crestwood Village, Whiting Station, Pine Ridge, Meadows, and Country Walk communities and will include commercial meters in that total. Manchester Township is proposing to furnish and install new meters and transmitters at various houses and businesses within the Western Service Area. Installation will consist of the removal of the existing units, the installation of complete meter units including transmitters, testing for proper installation and installation and testing of meter reading infrastructure as specified. The Township of Manchester will recoup the ownership of the old, replaced meters from this project. bid proposals must be accompanied by a certified check, cashiers check, or bid bond in the amount of ten per centum (10%) of the total amount of the bid, but not in excess of twenty thousand ($20,000) dollars and made payable to the Township of Manchester.
