This Request for Proposal (RFP) is being issued to obtain a contract to provide full maintenance services for elevators, escalators, and lifts for the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Facilities Services. The contract as herein specified shall consist of an all-inclusive service for the elevators, escalators, dumbwaiters and lifts being maintained under this contract. The Contract shall have an initial term of five (5) years, beginning on the date of final Contract execution the "Effective Date". The Vendor shall begin work under the Contract on or about the first of October 2025 to allow for possible cross over time between vendors. Provide Response to Questions University ASAP At the end of the Contract's initial term, the University shall have the option, in its sole discretion, to renew the Contract on the same terms and conditions for up to five (5) additional one (1) year terms. The University will give the Vendor written notice of its intent to exercise each option no later than ninety (90) days before the end of the Contract's then-current term. In addition to any optional renewal terms, and with the Vendor's concurrence, the University reserves the right to extend the Contract after the last active term. The University reserves the right to waive any minor informality or technicality in proposals received.
