The Moffat County Commissioners (BOCC)will be accepting sealed proposals for furnishing all labor, materials and equipment to repaint all exterior concrete block and cap metal at the Moffat County Proposals may be submitted to the office of Moffat County Development Services, 1198 W. Victory Way, Suite 107, Craig, CO 81625. Public Safety Center. Municipal Meeting 08/26/2025 BOCC Award Contact Timeline- 8/26/25 - 12/15/25 Question Deadline 08/18/2025 at 10:00 AM MT No interpretation of the meaning of the Bid Documents (drawings, specifications, et al.) will be made to any Contractor. Scope of Work: Thorough preparation of all exterior concrete block and cap metal surfaces. o Repair of grout and chipped block areas. o Surface protection of existing stucco to prevent overspray or damage. o Painting of all prepared surfaces with recommended materials. Surface Preparation: Cleaning: A. Power wash all concrete block surfaces and metal areas to remove dirt, chalking, efflorescence, loose paint, mold, mildew, and other surface contaminants. B. Use clean water and a low-pressure detergent solution if necessary to assist in cleaning; rinse thoroughly. C. Allow surfaces to dry completely, typically 24-48 hours depending on weather conditions. Repairs:- A. Remove any loose, damaged, or deteriorated grout and mortar joints. B. Repair with an appropriate matching masonry grout or joint filler. C. Chip or damaged concrete blocks must be chipped out and patched with a suitable, matching patch compound, such as non-shrinking patching mortar. 3. Crack and Chip Repair: Fill cracks and chips with high-quality, exterior-grade patching products.Sand smooth after curing, ensuring a flush surface before painting . Protection: Mask and cover all existing stucco surfaces thoroughly to prevent paint overspray. Remove or mask adjacent surfaces, fixtures, and equipment to prevent contamination. Priming: Do not apply primer on fully painted surfaces unless the existing paint has been stripped or is peeling. Primers are only necessary on bare or heavily repaired surfaces and should be compatible with topcoat. Location-800 W 1st Street Craig CO 81625
