Question Deadline 08/15/2025 at 12:00 PM ET Base Bid: o Remove existing roof system down to the existing metal and concrete roof decks. o Metal Roof Deck Roof Areas: Replace existing roof system with a new 60 mil PVC mechanically fastened roof system over a high density polyisocyanurate insulation cover board over polyisocyanurate insulation with coated glass facers over a self- adhering vapor barrier. Provide tapered insulation for positive drainage. All roof system seams to be heat welded. Fasteners number and placement to be as determined by ASCE 7 calculation. o Concrete Roof Deck Areas. Replace existing roof system with a new 60 mil PVC fully adhered roof system over high density polyisocyanurate insulation over polyisocyanurate insulation with coated glass facers over a self- adhering vapor barrier. Prime roof deck as required. All roof system seams to be heat welded. Provide one fastener and plate per two square feet minimum. Additional fasteners to be determined by ASCE 7 calculation. Membrane to be set in standard manufacturer's adhesive. The cover board is to be set in low rise polyurethane adhesive at 3" oc extrusions. For concrete roof deck areas set all insulation and cover board in low rise polyurethane adhesive over a vapor retarder. Adhesive extrusions not to exceed 3" oc. o Provide a vapor retarders designed to work on metal roof decks and one for concrete roof decks. o Remove and reinstall existing lightning protection system as required to complete the work. Replace all missing or damaged components. o Remove and replace all existing roof edge metal. Provide new cables where aerial are not connected to cables. Replace all missing or broken components on all reused items such as copings, counter flashing, etc. Provide coping extensions. o Replace all damaged or deteriorated roof deck sections. o Contractor to provide a complete, weather tight system roof Provide new 24 gauge galvanized steel plating along the perimeter of the parapet wall with bat insulation. Provide new wood blocking under the existing metal coping to be replaced. Provide new fascia extensions on the coping as required to cover the parapet wall to the same line as the existing coping. Remove and reinstall existing aluminum coping. Replace all missing or damaged components.
