2025 2026 Sanitary Sewer Improvements: High Street The existing dwellings are connected to the Erie Street sewer via private laterals. The location ofthe existing private laterals vary with respect to where the sewer pipes enter the public right of way of High Street. The laterals extend under High Street and continue below grade under or through the existing retaining wall along Erie St. They connect to the Erie Street sewer. The laterals are various pipe materials and age of installation. The wall is a historic structure in Dauphin Borough. The repair of the deteriorated wall is not included in the Scope of Work for the new sewer line. The project documents require the protection of the existing infrastructure during the construction of the new wall. The wall is a part of the existing infrastructure and shall be protected. Question Deadline 08/22/2025 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect. In accordance with Act No. 287 of 1974, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the Contractor, prior to performing excavation or demolition work on the job site shall obtain all recorded locations of existing lines. 2. Contact the User to provide exact location Utility before excavation or demolition work started. 3. Attention is directed to the fact that there may be other lines in certain locations in addition to the recorded locations. The Contractor shall make every effort to determine the location of unrecorded lines, prior to construction. 4. No increase to the contract price shall be allowed due to claims by the Contractor of delays to the work as a result of locating and/or connecting to existing sewer lines.
