DESCRIPTION: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) under the authority of FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, specifically FAR 13.105(b), which allows for the use of simplified procedures for commercial items, and FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested, and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. The requirement is for the procurement, delivery, and installation of commercial grade carpet to replace existing carpet in Buildings 2204 at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER), Alaska. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 238330, Flooring, with a small business size standard of $19M. This acquisition is solicited as a 100% Small Business Set-Aside under FAR 19.502-2, restricted to local small business in Alaska. SCOPE OF WORK: The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to furnish, deliver, and install carpet in designated floors (1,2,3,A1,A2 and Extra) at Building #2204 JBER, Alaska. The contractor shall be responsible for lifting existing office furniture, including cubicles and desks, to install new carpet underneath throughout the building. Additionally, the contractor shall demolish and dispose of existing carpet in accordance with authorized methods. Refer to the detailed Statement of Work (SOW) attached for complete requirements.
