Site work and asbestos abatement for a mixed-use development in Hampden, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for asbestos abatement for a educational facility; and educational facility.
**As of August 21st, 2025, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** Removal of vinyl asbestos tiles and mastic in former classrooms. Classroom sizes are specified in the scope of work. Questions: Brian Domina at (413) 566-2151 ext. 118 or emailed to townadmin@hampdenma.gov Bond(s) Required: 50% Payment Bond if contract is greater than $25,000 The Contractor will remove vinyl asbestos tile and mastic from classrooms in the former Thornton W. Burgess Middle School in accordance with all applicable local, state and federal laws and regulations. The contractor will provide all labor and materials to complete the work described above. The Town of Hampden will provide electricity at the work site. Post abatement visual inspection and air testing will be provided by an independent project monitoring firm arranged by the Town of Hampden. Written quotes are to be provided based on the square footage of the classrooms. Exact classrooms to be abated will be decided by the Town of Hampden at a future date.
