Renovation of a municipal facility in Regina, Saskatchewan. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The intent of the project is to replace the two (2) 25 Ton Leibert AC units that provide cooling in the server room in the basement of the Alvin Hamilton Building. There are two units, both Model # DH290AUBAEI, Serial # 819525-001 and #819525-002. Each unit has 2 circuits containing 66.67kgs of R-22 refrigerant for a total of 133.34kgs per unit. The two (2) associated condensers require replacement and are located on the SW Roof and are Leibert's as well. Their model s are DCDL415-B. Their serial #'s are 0552C83132 and 0552C83129. All equipment was installed in June 2005. Replace all required components in order to be compatible with new refrigerant. Units require cold-weather kit to allow operation down to -30 degrees celsius. Project will likely require new refrigerant piping; consultant to confirm. Local alarming required. The new equipment should utilize low GWP refrigerants (< 750) as per the most recent Greening Government Strategy. Consultant to investigate and determine what happens when condensate from these units during design. If pumps, they will require replacement. TIMELINE: An RFP has closed. Award details will not be released. All inquiries are to be directed to the owner. Coverage has been discontinued.
