Bids are being sought from Contractors to provide all labor, materials and equipment required to construct raise a residential home above Base Flood Elevation. The following work is included: 1) New foundation system 2) New support posts and CMU wall extension/in-fill 3) Raised flooring system 4) Relocated/new windows and doors 5) General home construction/modifications 6) Roof system 7) Mechanical, electrical & plumbing modifications 8) Site restoration Each bid must be accompanied by a bid guarantee equivalent to ten (10) percent of the amount of the base bid and all alternates. A certified check of cashier's check must be used. The bid guarantee shall be made payable to Sussex County Council. If the responding Contractor deems any portion of its response to contain trade secrets, proprietary or other confidential information, it shall isolate and identify in writing the confidential portions, together with a statement in support of its designation as such. The submission shall be confidential until the bid has been awarded and a contract has been executed. Thereafter, all submissions shall be open to public inspection. Federal or State scale wage rates are NOT applicable on this Project. Sussex County reserves the right to extend the time and place of the bid opening on not less than two (2) calendar days' notice by electronic means to those who have obtained copies of the Contract Documents. Sussex County reserves the right to waive irregularities and reject any or all bids.
