Background: The disaster recovery site for the I-Branch is a critical project aimed at ensuring the continuity of operations in the event of a major disruption. Project Scope: The project Site, covering approximately 75m, aims to provide a functional and secure environment for essential operations. The construction will include a vestibule for secure access, an inspection corridor to facilitate easy movement, a mechanical room to house necessary equipment, one office for administrative purposes, and space for two workstations to accommodate the operational needs of the site. Constraints: Note that this project is taking place in a secure space, that requires escort at all times. Anticipate that any disruptive work will have to take place after hours to minimize disruption to ongoing business operations, and close coordination between electrical, IT, and building trades is essential due to space limitations within walls, ceilings, and utility pathways that may affect hardware installation. Identify the type of Infrastructure: The existing building is a multi-storey structure. The interior partition walls were observed to be full height, non-loadbearing steel framed walls. The existing concrete floor slab will need to be evaluated to determine if it has sufficient capacity to support the new proposed equipment. This analysis can be performed once selections for products/equipment have been finalized and information on associated weight and dimensions are available for review.
