The Districts Diverse Business Participation Goal on this project is 25% of the base bid value of the contract. Tarrant Regional Water District is seeking proposals for Eagle Mountain Fish Hatchery Drainage Wall. Question Deadline 08/18/2025 at 5:00 PM CT Contractor Selection Date:August 26, 2025 For Proposals over $50,000, Bidders must submit a bid bond of at least two (2) percent of the total amount of the bid issued by a surety legally authorized to do business in the State of Texas. The bid security shall be a guarantee that, if awarded the contract, the bidder will promptly enter into a contract and furnish any necessary bonds required by the District within ten (10) calendar days after the Contract has been awarded. The bid security shall be forfeited to the District should the bidder fail to enter into a contract and/or fail to provide acceptable bonds. The bid bond shall be made payable to the Tarrant Regional Water District. This project does not fall under the federal Davis Bacon Act. However, Bidder must comply with all statutes, including but not limited to Texas Government Code section 2258.022, and rulings of the State of Texas Comptroller. Description: TRWD is seeking bids for the replacement of the Fish Hatchery drainage wall at the Eagle Mountain Dam. Project will include removing existing drain walls and installing 200 feet of new walls on both sides. Scope of Work: Install sandbags entire length of job to keep water flowing on opposite side of canal from where work is being performed. Remove existing walls and relocate on site. Contractor responsible for back fill and final grading. Install Silt fence for erosion control Excavate approx. 4' wide by 3' deep making room for forms. Install dowels in to bottom of existing canal. Install rebar per drawings. Set standard forms for horizontal part of wall and box forms with wall ties for vertical part of wall. Install 1" pvc weep holes at 45 degrees angle every 6'. Pour with 3,500 psi concrete top exposed part of wall to have a medium broom finish. Remove forms. Install 4" perforated drain pipe on back of wall. Install filter fabric over pipe then back fill with gravel 12" thick then fold fabric over gravel and back fill using existing spoils. Contractor will place down grass seed per season in the construction area. Dirt work will be contractors' responsibility. Excavated dirt will be examined by TRWD to determine if it can be used for back fill. Since we will not know if dirt needs to be purchased, please exclude that from your bid price and we will do a change order if needed. *The contractor will supply and include the following: Labor, concrete, steel, forms, concrete pumps, excavator track skid steer, gravel, filter fabric, drainage pipe, and water pumps Hours of Work: 7:00 am - 6:00 PM Monday through Friday
