Oakes Water Treatment Plant The work in general consists of the following: 1.Grading, 2.Drainage, 3.Concrete work, 4.Installation of sump pumps with electrical connections, 5.Erosion control items, and all other items required for a complete, functional project. The work of the Contract comprises construction for the City of Morristown, Tennessee, of the Roy S. Oakes Water Treatment Plant Project. The work includes, but is not limited to the following (approximate) major components: 1. 31 CY Concrete 2. 3400 LBS Reinforcing Steel 3. 2 Each Sump Pumps 3. Clearing, grubbing, grading, erosion control items, and all other items required for a complete, functional project. The allotted time for construction is 120 days. Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Bid must accompany each Bid. No bid may be withdrawn within ninety (90) days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of Bids. The City of Morristown reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive irregularities in the Bids, and to determine the lowest responsible Bidder. -- Questions must be received by 3:00 P.M. on Friday, August 8, 2025. All Bidders must be licensed Contractors as required by the Contractor's Licensing Act of 1994 (or Latest Revision). Bidder's name, address, license number, expiration date and that part of classification which applies to the Project(s) and the name, address and licensing information for Plumbing, HVAC, Masonry, and Electrical Contractors if applicable, must be on the sealed envelope containing the executed Bid Proposal. All required items must be listed, with any item(s) that are not applicable to the Project in accordance with the Regulations to be marked "not applicable to this project". In compliance with the act, sealed envelopes will not be opened unless all required information is properly displayed. Contractors must comply with all "Drug-Free Work Place" requirements. On request, OWNER will provide Bidder access to the Site to conduct such examinations, investigations, explorations, tests, and studies as Bidder deems necessary for submission of a Bid. Bidder shall fill all holes and clean up and restore the Site to at least its former condition upon completion of such explorations, investigations, tests, and studies. Bidder shall be responsible for notifications, licenses, or permits required to perform explorations, tests, etc.
