Proposals are now being accepted for the ARPA Watermain River Crossing project in the Village of Rockton, Illinois. Improvements include Installation of 6" & 8" diameter water main, 650 Lineal Feet of Bored Watermain, Bored and Jacked Casing Pipe, Installation ofFire Hydrants assemblies, Installation of Valves, Setting Concrete Foundation for Future Pump Station, HMA Multiuse Path extension and overlay, and Site Restoration. Each proposal must be accompanied by the Contractor's Certificate of Eligibility, a certified check, cashiers check, or bid bond, payable to the Village of Rockton for the amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount ofthe proposal. The Contractor's Prequalification Categories must be relevant to the majority of work to be performed. All bidders shall note the following: (1) construction monies will be drawn from the Village's allotted ARPA Funds as well as local funds on hand; (2) the successful contractor will be paid on a monthly basis according to the approved estimate of completed work; (3) the Village strongly urges all contractors to employ the use oflocal subcontractors, suppliers, and trades as much as possible for this contract. Labor rates shall be in accordance with the General Prevailing Rate of Wages for the Village of Rockton, Winnebago County, Illinois, and which are on file in the Office of the Department of Labor, Springfield, Illinois. Such rates shall be paid for all laborers, workman, or tradesman performing work under this contract. The Village reserves the right to reject any or all bids on each proposal, and to waive any information therein or to accept any proposal considered in the best interest of the Village. No bid shall be withdrawn after the opening ofbids without written consent of the Village ofRockton for a period offorty five (45) days after the scheduled time of opening of bids
