The Village of Milan will not accept any/or consider any bid as an official bid unless said bidder has picked up and paid for a complete bid package from Richland Engineering A Division of Mannik Smith Group. In order to bid this project you must be a plan holder of record with Richland Engineering A Division of Mannik Smith Group. The Village of Milan reserve the right to reject any and/or all bids, to waive any informalities in any bid, and to determine the lowest and best bidder. Each bidder must deposit with his bid, security in the amount, form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal, a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code.Bid security furnished in Bond form, shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said Surety. The Owner intends and requires that this project be completed within 210 days from the Notice to Proceed. Bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Erie County and the Village of Milan as determined by the Ohio Department of Commerce, Wage and Hour Division, 614-644-2239. No Pre-Bid Meeting will be held. Under this item the Contractor shall furnish and install all labor, materials, tools and equipment required to complete modifications to the Existing Trickling Filter No. 1 as shown on the plans and specified herein. The work under this item shall include removing and disposing of the existing rotary distribution system. This work shall also include furnishing and installing rotary distribution system and all other incidental items necessary to complete the work. The Contractor shall remove and dispose of all equipment designated for removal on the plans or specified herein. All salvageable materials shall be removed without damage and shall be placed in storage by the Contractor for the Owner at an acceptable location within the project area. Unusable material shall be disposed of outside the project area. After notification by the Contractor, the Owner will remove all salvageable equipment it wishes to retain. All other equipment and material shall become the property of the Contractor and shall be removed and disposed of as specified. Items designated for removal include but are not limited to the rotary distribution system. The Contractor shall use all necessary precautions to protect the existing structure while performing all work as shown on the plans, specified herein or directed by the Engineer. The Contractor shall furnish and install a rotary distribution system for the trickling filters as shown on the drawings and specified herein. Distribution system shall be of the hydraulic driven type and shall include new distribution drive unit, new distribution arms, corrosion-resistant orifices and spreaders, support tie rods and braces, and all other appurtenances required or shown on the drawings.
