No definite date for the rebid.** To expand upon previous restoration phases in the Upper South Fork, MCD intends to carry 17 out Phase VI of restoration work within the river.", Restoration activities planned for Phase VI 18 include the strategic helicopter placement of 17 large wood clusters along the banks of the 19 flowing channel, construction of 12 ELJs of varying size in and near the active channel, one 20 bank roughness cluster of large wood, and the excavation of two side channels." Upper 8 South Fork of the Skokomish River, in Mason County, Washington. ELJ construction project stockpile staging area located in Township 23N, Range 6W, 43 section 27 Prospective Bidders desiring an explanation or interpretation of the Bid Documents, 10 shall request the explanation or interpretation by email on or before the date to submit 11 questions set forth in the Notice to Bidders. MASON CONSERVATION DISTRICT is requesting bids from qualified parties to hold, harvest, and haul the required logs and slash for future use in the construction of engineered log jams in the upper South Fork of the Skokomish River in Mason County, Washington. A total of 1,044 logs (consisting of 234 timber piles, 100 log poles, and 710 logs with rootwads still attached) and 5,850 cubic yards of slash are required as a part of this Contract. All logs (except for piles) are to have a minimum DBH of 24-inches. Recommissioning approximately 0.8 miles of U.S. Forest Service Roads (spur roads 2361- 400 and 2361-430) to access the project stockpile staging area is also part of the contract. The contract will be broken into two phases. Phase 1 of the contract consists of holding the necessary site(s) for future harvest of the required logs, piles, and slash. The purpose of Phase 1 is to ensure the quantity and quality of woody material is secured in time to construct in the summer of 2026 as well as to comply with the U.S. Forest Service protocols for invasive weed controls. Phase 2 of the contract consists of the actual harvest of the required logs, piles, and slash as well as the haul and stockpiling of the woody material at the ELJ construction project stockpile staging area (located in Township 23N, Range 6W, section 27).
