A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** Reference Number 0000394444 The Town of Amherst is soliciting bids from qualified contractors for the purchase and installation of energy-efficient LED lighting fixtures at the Amherst Center for Senior Services, 370 John James Audubon Parkway, Amherst, NY 14228. The objective is to reduce energy consumption, improve lighting quality, and ensure compliance with energy efficiency standards. Work to be completed through National Grid's Small Business Lighting Program through an approved contractor. All work must be completed within 60 days of Notice to Proceed. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder as determined by the Town of Amherst. The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, and services necessary to complete the following: o Replacement of existing lighting fixtures with high-efficiency LED lighting, dimmers and bulbs within the Amherst Center for Senior Services. The manufacturer part numbers specified on the pricing page above or equivalent is acceptable. If bidding an equivalent product, please provide product information with your bid. o Existing lighting control systems will remain in place and must be maintained and protected during installation. o Installation must comply with all local electrical codes, manufacturer guidelines, and applicable safety standards. o Removal and proper disposal of all old lighting fixtures and materials. o Coordination with National Grid for incentive application and project review, as required by the program. o Contractor must obtain all required permits (Town of Amherst building permits will not incur a charge). o Price per unit must include all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation and services, and disposal. o 5-year warranty on materials, with an option to purchase a 10-year warranty for materials and labor.
