Qualified Contractors are invitedto bid on a contract for "ASUNMarked Tree Walking Trail PhaseI, Marked Tree, Arkansas". Thebids shall be on a lump sumbasis. Bid Security in the amount of fivepercent (5%) of the bid must accompany each bid in accordancewith the Instructions to Bidders. Bidders shall conform to the requirements of the Arkansas licensing laws and regulations forcontractors, and shall be licensed before his bid is submitted. Bidders are hereby notified thatthe provisions of the Davis-Bacon Act & Federal PrevailingWage Rates apply to portions ofthis project. Arkansas State University Newport hereby notifies all biddersthat this contract is subject to applicable labor laws, non-discrimination provisions, wage rate lawsand other federal laws includingthe Fair Labor Standards Acts of1938. The work hours Act of 1962and Title VI of the Civil Rights Actof 1964 also apply. Build America, Buy America provisions apply to this project. ASUN encourages all small,minority, and women businessenterprises submit bids for capital improvements.
