The Alexander County Housing Authority (ACHA) will receive sealed bids from Qualified and Licensed General Contractors with experience in performing construction services related to large residential or commercial rehabilitation projects for Seismic Retrofit and Renovation of the Loam Shuemaker residential high-rise apartment building located at 1100 Halliday Avenue in Cairo, Illinois 62914. The Alexander County Housing Authority (ACHA) will receive sealed bids from Qualified and Licensed General Contractors with experience in performing construction services related to large residential or commercial rehabilitation projects for Seismic Retrofit and Renovation of the Loam Shuemaker residential high-rise apartment building located at 1100 Halliday Avenue in Cairo, Illinois 62914. Bids shall be submitted in a single lump sum proposal. The magnitude of the project is between $6,000,000.00 and $11,000,000.00. The Shuemaker building is a five-story, steel-frame structure originally constructed in 1986, and contains 43 apartment units, community space, and administrative space. The rehabilitation work consists of seismic retrofit and structural enhancements; major systems replacement to include HVAC, Plumbing, and Windows; other critical emergency systems improvements; and interior unit upgrades. Bids shall be submitted in a single lump sum proposal. The magnitude of the project is between $6,000,000.00 and $11,000,000.00. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
