Warren County, Virginia, is soliciting competitive sealed bids for firm pricing for various grades of stone and hauling. PURPOSE Warren County, Virginia, is soliciting competitive sealed bids for firm pricing for various grades of stone and hauling. The successful bidder warrants that all goods provided shall conform with all applicable Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations. Material Conformance: All stone shall conform to current VDOT specifications. - Source Material: Materials shall be supplied by a VDOT pre-approved plant/quarry prior to award of contract. The amount of the bid bond shall not exceed 5% of the amount bid. No forfeiture under a bid bond shall exceed the lesser of the difference between the bid for which the bond was written and the next low bid or the face amount of the bid bond. In lieu of a bid bond, a certified check, cashier's check, or cash escrow in the face amount requirement for the bond. a. A performance bond, in a form acceptable to the County, in the sum of the contract amount conditioned upon the faithful performance of the contract in strict conformity with the plans, specifications and conditions of the contract. b. A payment bond, in a form acceptable to the County, in the sum of the contract amount. Such bond shall be for the protection of claimants who have and fulfill contracts to supply labor or materials to the prime contractor to whom the contract was awarded, or to any subcontractors, in the prosecution of the work provided for in such contract and shall be conditioned upon the prompt payment for all such material furnished or labor supplied or performed in the prosecution of the work.
