Project Description: Provide All Labor, Materials, Equipment and Incidentals for the Installation of the Force Main, Water Line, Storm Drainage, Fire Hydrants, Road Base, Asphalt, Excavation of Pond/s, Erosion Control Measures, Jack and Bores, Horizontal Directional Drills, Wetland and Tree Protections, Clearing, Grading, Traffic Control and All Connections to Existing Utilities. The Foregoing Description Shall Not Be Construed as a Complete Description of All Work Required. This Project is Accepting Bids as Both Single Prime and Multi-prime Contracts. The Multi-prime Bids Accepted Shall Be for the Following Scopes of Work: 1. Erosion Control, Grading, Storm Drainage, Road Work and Paving. 2. General Contractors Are Notified That Chapter 87, General Statutes of North Carolina, Will Be Observed in Receiving and Awarding General Contracts. General Contractors Submitting Bids on This Project Must Have License Classification for Public Utilities. A Performance Bond and a Payment Bond Will Be Required for One Hundred Percent (100%) of the Contract Price. An Additional Bond With the North Carolina Department of Transportation May Be Required for Work Performed in the Right-of-way. Surety Companies Must Be Authorized to Do Business in North Carolina. Note: Under Ncgs 87-1, a Contractor That Superintends or Manages Construction of Any Building, Highway, Public Utility, Grading, Structure, or Improvement Shall Be Deemed a ""General Contractor"" and Shall Be So Licensed. Therefore, a Single Prime Project That Involves Other Trades Will Require the Single Prime Contractor to Hold a Proper General Contractor's License.
