Beauregard Regional Airport Runway Rehabilitation This project encompasses rehabilitation of Runways 14-32 and 18-36 by way of Thermoplastic Coal TarEmulsion Seal Coat application. The project will occur in three phases, the first of which will require closure of Runway 14-32 for its rehabilitation outside the extents of the Runway 18-36 safety area. The second project phase will involve closure of Runway 18-36 for its rehabilitation outside the extents of the Runway 14-32 safety area. The third and final phase will involve closure of both runwaysfor completion of pavement rehabilitation work within the intersection of both runways where both runway safety areas overlap; work during the third project phase will be restricted to occur during nighttime working hours to minimize impacts to airfield operations to the greatest extent possible. Prior to seal coat application within eachproject phase, the respective runway pavements will be cleaned, and all existing markings will be removed. Following marking removal, all existing cracks with widths equal to and greater than 1/4 inch will be sealed. After crack repairs have been made, the seal coat will be applied and will be given adequate time to cure per manufacturer recommendations. Once the thermoplastic material has cured, permanent pavement markings will be installed. An acceptable bid bond, cashiers check or certified check payable to the Beauregard Parish Airport District No. 1, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid price, shall be submitted with each bid. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory performance and payment bonds. Bidders are advised that Performance, Payment, and Maintenance Bond, each in the amount of 100 percent (100%) of the contract price, will be required. The Beauregard Parish Airport District No. 1 reserves the right to reject any or all Bids for just cause and reserves the right to waive any and all informalities.
