Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Sunnyvale, California. Conceptual plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

This is an invitation seeking proposals from qualified consultants to Explore the Feasibility of Converting the PG&E Lots Facing Ramona Avenue, Lois Avenue, and/or Dona Avenue into an Open Green Space Linear Park for the Community. The Consultant will present findings at a Sunnyvale Parks and Recreation meeting and a Sunnyvale City Council Meeting. Project Summary - The City of Sunnyvale (the "City") is seeking qualified consultant services to research the feasibility of converting the PG&E lot(s) situated between Dona Avenue, Lois Avenue and Ramona Avenue for a public park to help accommodate increasing demand for open space in the City. The Study would consider what would be needed to open the PG&E lot(s) for public access. It would make recommendations for potential improvements to the site (e.g., double gated entry, surfacing options, etc.) and provide associated costs, both capital and operational. The Study would include an evaluation of any current agreements or precedents that exist and consider what new agreements may need to be created and determine the process and timeline for doing so. Due to the close proximity of residential housing and availability of only on-street parking, a robust public outreach component would be required. The study would do robust neighborhood outreach and survey the neighborhood to determine opinions about what park features, services, and traffic and noise levels would be considered compatible and desirable by neighborhood residents including at a minimum the options of: . Drought-tolerant native Miyawaki Pocket Forests. . A nature walkway for bicycle and pedestrian access running through the lots. . Open lawn space. . A community vegetable garden. Plantings of native plants such as milkweed to support threatened native species such as the Monarch Butterfly. In addition, the Study would determine if any existing PG&E equipment or electrical lines would pose a health risk to park patrons. SCOPE OF WORK 1. Research and identify the feasibility of converting the current PG&E lot(s) situated between Dona Avenue, Lois Avenue and Ramona Avenue into a public use park. 2. Identify a cost analysis for converting the site(s) into a public use park with various options. In addition, develop a cost analysis for long term maintenance. 3. Develop a strategy for current agreements and any future required agreement. 4. Identify any stakeholders that may be interested in this Project, including possible park users and adjacent residents. 5. Design must consider safety (e.g., lighting, visibility, fencing near roads). 6. Ensure the land is zoned for public use or can be rezoned. 7. Submit a draft and final written proposal including all findings and costs for implementation and long-term. 8. Attend and present findings at one (1) City of Sunnyvale Parks and Recreation Meeting and one (1) City of Sunnyvale City Council Meeting. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time. Question Deadline 08/14/2025 at 5:00 PM PT
