Mason, Procurement Administrator by email: jmason@southkingstownri.gov Halfpipe to be the same finished height as the top of existing bowl, roughly 4' high. o 2" I.D. metal coping to be poured in place on top of the ramps for coping. o 1 ' grid of 3/8" rebar used as reinforcement in half pipe. o Asphalt to be removed under ramp structure. Ramp to be poured flush with existing surface. o Ramps to be approximately 6' radius. o 1'thick x 3.5 high retaining wall required on ramp opposite the bowl to retain gravel infill. The Town of South Kingstown is requesting bids from a qualified concrete skate park construction company to provide labor and new materials to form and finish a concrete half pipe at the Old Mountain Field Skate Park in South Kingstown, Rhode Island. Specifications: 1. Concrete half pipe to be approximately 4' high x 16' wide x 22'' long with 6' radius ramps. See diagram for exact size, shape, and transition radius. 2. All concrete to be a minimum of 6" thick and with a smooth finish using 4,000 psi concrete and #3 rebar at 12" OC grid. 3. All concrete surfaces to be finished to smooth "Skate Park" finish. Contractor may be required to provide a 4' x 4' sample of finished concrete that will be used as the standard for all surfaces. 4. Top of half pipe transition to decks to include a 2" I.D. metal coping to be poured on place. 5. Expansion joints to be cut every 6' no later than 1 week after cast pour. 6. Contractor is responsible for cutting of existing asphalt to insure a smooth transition from concrete flat section to existing skate park surface. 7. Contractor is responsible for insuring proper sub-grade and compaction prior to constructing any forms or placing any reinforcing steel. Town will provide processed gravel, labor, and excavation equipment to place sub-base materials. 8. Contractor to strip all forms and remove form materials from site when concrete has adequately cured. 9. Site to be clean and secured at the end of each work day and completion of project.
