Project Location - Piedmont Community College The project entails the new construction of a single-story, 4,721 SF Food Storage Hub, a 1,750 SF Incubator Farm Barn, and a 295 SF Wash Station located on the Piedmont Community College Campus. This development supports the College's commitment to educational and agricultural advancement through a blend of instructional, operational, and farm-to-table initiatives. The scope of work includes full site development to support the construction of three primary structures: The Food Storage Hub will be a pre-engineered metal building system with concrete foundations, featuring a standing seam metal roof, MEP infrastructure, and interior finishes. This building will accommodate refrigerated storage, office space, and dry goods storage, supported by specialty refrigeration systems to serve both instructional and operational needs. The Incubator Farm Barn will be a wood-framed structure intended for business operations and general agricultural storage. The Wash Station supports produce cleaning, prep, and sanitation efforts as part of harvest and production workflows. The estimated construction duration is approximately 11 months, inclusive of sitework, utility coordination, and vertical construction, reflecting our continued alignment with the college's mission and operational need.
