The intent of these specifications is for the County of Somerset to secure a contract for Stormwater Management Facility Maintenance / County Facility Grounds Maintenance for a Period of twenty-four (24) months. Bidder shall submit with the bid a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total price bid, but not in excess of $20,000, payable unconditionally to the County. Successful bidder shall simultaneously with the delivery of the executed contract, submit an executed bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the acceptable bid as security for the faithful performance of this contract. The successful bidder shall with the delivery for the performance bond submit an executed payment bond to guarantee payment to laborers and suppliers for the labor and material used in the work performed under the contract. Upon acceptance of the work by the County, the contractor shall submit a maintenance bond (N.J.S.A. 40A:1-16.3) in an amount not to exceed 100% of the project costs guaranteeing against defective quality of work or materials for the period of: 1 Year 2 Years The County reserves the right to postpone the date for presentation and opening of bids and will give written notice of any such postponement to each perspective bidder as required by law.
