** Project has been rescheduled to September 17, 2025 per minutes from August 26, 2025. ** This solicitation includes two separate contracts. One for the water-related work and another for the rest of the improvements. Bidders can submit bids for either or both contracts. The Summary of Work Specification Section 011100 delineates the work between the two contracts. (RATTLESNAKE WATER SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS CONTRACT C WILMINGTON INTAKE FACILITY IMPROVEMENTS) - Location is Warren, OH CONTRACT C-1: UNDERWATER INTAKE REHABILITATION (Est - $1,400,000) All work shown on sheets 7 and 8 . b. All appropriate notes on sheet 3 and 4. c. All specifications as appropriate to complete the listed scope Repair the offshore backwash air line joints. e. Replace the 30" butterfly valve and stem as shown on sheet 11. f. 210306-C 011100-2 All water pumping infrastructure will need to be maintained in service during the work at all times Each bid must be accompanied by either a bid bond, cash, certified check, or letter of credit, in an amount f 10% of the bid amount with a surety satisfactory to the County of Fayette. Bid Bonds shall be accompanied by Proof of Authority of the official or agent signing the bond. Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in the form of Ohio Revised Code Section 154.53(B). Attention of bidders is called to all of the requirements contained in this bid packet, particularly to prevailing wage standards, various insurance requirements, various equal opportunity provisions, and the requirement for a payment bond and performance bond for 100% of the contract price. All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practicable use Ohio Products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of their project. Additionally, contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123, the Governor's Executive Order of 1972, and Governor's Executive Order 84-9 shall be required. Bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Fayette County, Ohio as determined by the Ohio Department of Industrial Relations. No bidder may withdraw his bid within thirty (30) days after the actual date of opening thereof. The Fayette County Commissioners reserve the right to waive any informalities or reject any or all bids. Ohio Department of Industrial Relations. The work shall include, but not be limited to, improvements to the City of Wilmington's Caeser Creek Intake and Pump Station. This includes the installation offour new 250 HP intake pumps, three new and three replacement for a total ofsix new VFDs, replacing the existing 500 KW generator with a new 1000 KW generator, rehabilitation of the intake in the reservoir, interior and exterior piping to support the proposed structures, and other site improvements and installation ofrelated appurtenances. No bidder may withdraw his bid within thirty (30) days after the actual date of opening thereof. The Fayette County Commissioners reserve the right to waive any informalities or reject any or all bids.
