The scope of work generally consists of constructing rockfall mitigation measures to prevent property damage and personal injury. A slope stabilization system made from steel wire mesh shall be draped over the slope face and secured by steel cables. All Request for Information (RFI) questions and Substitution Requests shall be submitted in online no later than Monday, August 25, 2:00 p.m., HST. The work to be done on this project i ncludes furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary to install a draped wire mesh rockfall mitigation system on the mauka side of Waapa Road between the entrance to Pier 3 an d the Aloha Petroleum fuel tank site at Nawiliwili Harbor. The work includes scaling and disposal of loose material, installation of the draped wire mesh rockfall mitigation system (approximately 700 feet long), installation of temporary barriers and other safety measures, erosio n control, traffic control, restoration and all incidentals. Bidders are advised to examine the existing conditions at the proposed project site to familiarize themselves with the nature and extent of work involved and working conditions.
