Site work for a road / highway in Honolulu, Hawaii. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.

The scope of work generally consists of constructing rockfall mitigation measures to prevent property damage and personal injury. A slope stabilization system made from steel wire mesh shall be draped over the slope face and secured by steel cables. All Request for Information (RFI) questions and Substitution Requests shall be submitted in online no later than Monday, August 25, 2:00 p.m., HST. RFI questions received after the stated deadline shall not be addressed. Substitution Requests received after the stated deadline shall not be considered. Verbal RFI(s) shall not receive a response. All responses to RFI questions shall be provided for clarification and information only and issued by formal addendum. Any amendments to the solicitation shall be made by formal addendum and posted in online . The State reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any defects in said proposals in the best interest of the public. The scope of work generally consists of constructing rockfall mitigation measures to prevent property damage and personal injury. A slope stabilization system made from steel wire mesh shall be draped over the slope face and secured by steel cables. The estimated cost of construction is $1,800,000.00. The work to be done on this project i ncludes furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary to install a draped wire mesh rockfall mitigation system on the mauka side of Waapa Road between the entrance to Pier 3 an d the Aloha Petroleum fuel tank site at Nawiliwili Harbor. The work includes scaling and disposal of loose material, installation of the draped wire mesh rockfall mitigation system (approximately 700 feet long), installation of temporary barriers and other safety measures, erosio n control, traffic control, restoration and all incidentals. Bidders are advised to examine the existing conditions at the proposed project site to familiarize themselves with the nature and extent of work involved and working conditions. Appointments may be made with the Harbors Division Project Engine er for clarification of the work involved or definition of the limits of the work. Mobilization and demobilization. B. Provide a Best Management Practices (BMP) Plan. C. Perform draped wire mesh rockfall mitigation system installation including the following: 1. Scaling and disposal of loose material. 2. Installation of draped wire mesh rockfall mitigation system, 3. Safety measures, 4. Erosion control, 5. Traffic control, and 6. Restoration. As per Adda 1, Clarifications: a. Unless a change is made by written addendum, nothing stated at this pre-bid conference or site visit shall change the solicitation. RFIs are due at 2:00 p.m., Monday, August 25, 2025
