The Site Includes 82 Acres of Previously Undeveloped Land Along North Donahue Drive in Auburn, Al. Early Site Improvements Are Underway Including Tree Clearing, Mass Grading, Mass Rock Excavation, and Installation of Storm Drainage, Sanitary Sewer Infrastructure, Curb & Gutter, and Asphalt Binder. The Building Scope Includes 3 Primary Structures: A Three-story Academic Building, a 2-story Gymnasium and Athletics Building, and a Single-story Performing Arts Building. The Primary Structural System for the Academic and Performing Arts Building is Steel Frame Structure With Infill Materials Ranging From Masonry, Stud Walls, Curtain Wall, and Storefront Glazing. Portions of the Gymnasium and Performing Arts Buildings Use Hollow Core Slab Structure With Load Bearing 388,000 Square Feet Distributed Throughout the 3 Buildings Serving an Enrollment of 2200 Students. In Addition to the Core Curriculum Spaces, There Are Multiple Career Tech Labs, a Dedicated Lecture Lab, a Full Music and Arts Suite, a Competition Gymnasium, Auxiliary Gym, Cafeteria and Commercial Kitchen, and an 850-seat Auditorium. All of the Spaces in the School Will Be Served by Both Wired and Wireless Technology as Well as the Most Up to Date Mechanical and Electrical Systems. Site Work Includes Tennis, Baseball, Softball, Track and Field and Multiple Practice Fields. Work Includes Multiple Field Buildings Serving Athletics, Parking, Signage, Fencing, Lighting and Various Plantings and Landscaping. A Cashiers Check or Bid Bond Payable to Auburn City Schools, in an Amount Not Less Than Five (5) Percent of the Amount of the Bid, but in No Event More Than $10,000, Must Accompany the Bidders Proposal. Performance and Payment Bonds and Evidence of Insurance Required in the Bid Documents Will Be Required at the Signing of the Contract.
