Site work and new construction of a detention facility in Watertown, South Dakota. Completed plans call for site work for a detention facility; and for the construction of a 112-bed detention facility.
The scope of this project includes, but is not limited to, the following: Exterior Metal Panels, EIFS, Interior Fit-Out with Detention Equipment, Food Service Equipment, Security Electronics, Fire Sprinkler, Plumbing, HVAC, and Electrical Systems. As of January 22, 2026, a construction manager been selected for this project. A firm construction timeline for this project has not yet been released. The award of this project is still pending. Bids will be opened privately, no formal bid letting will be conducted.
