Used Railroad Steel - Campbell, Boone, Kenton, Owen Counties USED RAILROAD RAIL 130-136 POUNDS PER LINEAR YARDSTRUCTURAL GRADE.EXCEPT AS PROVIDED HEREIN, MATERIAL WILL CONFORM TO ALL REQUIREMENTS OF THE KENTUCKY TRANSPORTATION CABINET, DEPARTMENT OF HIGHWAYS, 2019 STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS FOR ROAD AND BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION REFERENCES ARE TO BE STANDARD SPECS.MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS 130-136 POUNDS PER YARD OF LENGTH. ALL RAIL SHALL BE STEEL, STRAIGHT AND STRUCTURALLY SOUND.DELIVERY WILL BE PREPAID TO THE SPECIFIED LOCATION. THE CABINET'S STORAGE LOT WILL BE AVAILABLE DURING NORMAL BUSINESS HOURS UNLESS PRIOR ARRANGEMENTS ARE MADE WITH THE ENGINEER. NOTIFY THE ENGINEER A MINIMUM OF 24 HOURS PRIOR TO SCHEDULED DELIVERY. ALLOW 6 HOURS FOR UNLOADING BY DISTRICT PERSONNEL.THE ENGINEER WILL MEASURE USED RAILROAD RAIL BY LINEAR FOOT. KYTC will accept Reroll as long as it meets the 130LB per YD. KYTC will also accept 140 and 141# rail as well with the base of the 130-136#. Deadline for written questions All questions shall submitted in writing by the date and time specified. No questions shall be accepted after the date/time listed unless the question(s) is considered material to the procurement. Oral questions will not be accepted at any time except for bid procedural clarifications. The Commonwealth will respond to salient questions in writing by issuing an Addendum to the Solicitation. August 12, 2025 by 4pm Commonwealth's response to written questions The Addendum shall be posted to the Commonwealth's e-Procurement web site. August 13, 2025 by 4pm The Commonwealth reserves the right to reject the bid response for any violation of this provision. This provision does not preclude bidders who presently hold contracts with the Commonwealth from communicating with state agencies regarding existing contracts.
