Bid Security in the form of a bid bond in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the base bid is required from all Bidders. No other forms of Bid Security will be accepted. Guarantee Bonds in the form of a Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the bid will be required from the awarded Bidder. The work will be done in accordance with the Contract Documents. “FAIL URE TO COMPLY WITH THEREQUIRE MENTS OF THIS INVI TA TION TO BIDWILL RESULT IN THE DISQUALIFICATION OFTHE BIDDER”. This contract calls for the construction of a “public work,” within the meaning of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, 820 ILCS 130/.01 et seq. (“the Act”). The Act requires contractors and subcon trac tors to pay laborers, workers and mechanics performing services on public works projects no less than the “prevailing rate of wages” (hourly cash wages plus fringe benefits) int he county where the work is performed. Libertyville High School District 128 and Gilbane Building Company reserve the right to reject any or all bids. All information submit ted as part of this process shall be considered public information under the State Freedom of Information Act unless specifically disclosed on the applicable information by the Bidder. Challenges to such exemptions shall be defended solely by the Bidder. Bidders who are not pre-qualified in accordance with this Advertisement will have their bids returned unopened. The bids are due on 8/14 and are only for helical piers.
