Site work, paving, new construction and renovation of a mixed-use development in Lancaster, New York. Completed plans call for the construction of a educational facility; for the renovation of a educational facility; for site work for a educational facility; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; pre-engineered storage facility; pre-engineered storage facility; and pre-engineered storage facility.
1. Project Location: William Street Elementary School 5201 William Street Lancaster, NY 14086 295 Pleasant View Building Administration 295 Pleasant View Drive Lancaster, NY 14086 295 Pleasant View Storage Building 295 Pleasant View Drive Lancaster, NY 14086 Project Description: Project consists of full interior renovations at William Street School including floors, walls, ceilings, lighting, millwork, plumbing, electrical and mechanical work, associated roof work and exterior wall patching. Work also includes an addition of classrooms and storage areas including foundations, structure, floors, walls, ceilings, lighting, millwork, plumbing, electrical, mechanical and associated roofing. Work at 295 Pleasant View includes sitework at existing parking lots and electrical connections. Work also includes the construction of a new storage building on the Lancaster High School property. Bid bond payable to the owner shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of 5 percent of the bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 45 days after opening of bids. Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids, to re-advertise for new bids and to waive informalities and irregularities in connection with any bid. Doc note: Bidders or subcontractors who return all Bidding and Contract Documents in good condition within thirty (10) days of receipt of bids and have remitted payment, will receive a full refund of the deposit. The project value listed reflects the total project estimate. General Trades shall provide labor, material, plant, tools, equipment and supervision related to and/or necessarily involved with the performance of the Work, as indicated on all the Drawings, Specifications and/or Project Manual, and as set forth below. The LCSD Capital Improvements Project - William Street School (WS), 295 Pleasant View Building (MB) & 295 Pleasant View Storage Building (SB) Construction Documents shall both be included and considered in this scope of Work provided by Contract 102 - General Trades. Work for Contract 102 is generally described as General Trades, but more specifically described in this Scope of Work. Masonry shall provide labor, material, plant, tools, equipment and supervision related to and/or necessarily involved with the performance of the Work, as indicated on all the Drawings, Specifications and/or Project Manual, and as set forth below. The LCSD Capital Improvements Project - William Street School (WS), 295 Pleasant View Building (MB) & 295 Pleasant View Storage Building (SB) Construction Documents shall both be included and considered in this scope of Work provided by Contract 104 - Masonry. Work for Contract 104 is generally described as Masonry but more specifically described in this Scope of Work. A. Include in bid all labor, materials, tools, plant, transportation, excavation, equipment, insurance, temporary protection, permits, taxes and all necessary and related items required to provide complete and operational systems shown and described. B. References to codes and Standards called for in the Contract Documents mean the latest edition, amendment and revisions to the codes and standards in effect on the date of these Contract Documents. C. Minimum composition requirements and/or installation methods for the following materials and work are included in this section: 1. Fire Stopping. 2. Cutting and Patching. D. Contract shall include, but not be limited to: 1. Fire Protection. A. Include in bid all labor, materials, tools, plant, transportation, excavation, equipment, insurance, temporary protection, permits, taxes and all necessary and related items required to provide complete and operational systems shown and described. B. References to Codes and Standards called for in the Contract Documents mean the latest edition, amendment and revisions to the codes and standards in effect on the date of these Contract Documents. C. Minimum composition requirements and/or installation methods for the following materials and work are included in this section: 1. Fire Stopping. 2. Flashing and Sealing. 3. Cutting and Patching. D. Contract shall include, but not be limited to: 1. Plumbing. A. All portions of the work shown in the construction documents shall be bid by the Mechanical Contractor. Responsibility for performance of subcontractors and trades as lower tier contracts, such as electrical, shall be included as part of the Mechanical Contractor's scope of work. B. Include in bid all labor, materials, tools, plant, transportation, excavation, equipment, insurance, temporary protection, permits, taxes, services and all necessary and related items required to provide complete and operational systems shown and described. C. References to codes and standards called for in the Contract Documents mean the latest edition, amendment and revisions to the codes and standards in effect on the date of these Contract Documents. D. Minimum composition requirements and/or installation methods for the following materials and work are included in this section: 1. Miscellaneous Supports 2. Access Doors and Panels 3. Fire Stopping 4. Cutting and Patching E. Contract shall include, but not be limited to: 1. HVAC 2. General Contracting work as related to the HVAC Contract 3. Temperature Controls 4. Testing and Balancing of Mechanical Systems This section includes minimum requirements for the following: 1. Galvanized Rigid Steel Conduit (GRS) 2. Electrical Metallic Tubing (EMT) 3. Flexible Metal Conduit 4. Liquidtight Metal Flexible Conduit 5. Rigid Non-Metallic Conduit 6. Fittings 7. Surface Raceway 8. Power/Communications Poles 9. Wireways 10. Cable Tray 11. Cable Hangers Minimum composition requirements and/or installation methods for the following materials and work are included in this section: 1. Pipe Bollards and Sleeves 2. Trenching and Excavation 3. Ordinary Fill and Crushed Stone 4. Geotextile Fabric 5. Soil Restoration and Seeding 6. Asphalt Paving 7. Underground Raceway 8. Raceway Waterstop Sealant 9. Manholes, Vaults, and Handholes This section includes minimum requirements for the following: 1. Room Controllers 2. Power Packs 3. Low-Voltage Switches 4. Occupancy Sensors 5. Dimmer Switches 6. Timer Switches 7. Photo Sensors 8. System Functional Testing A. Extend existing Edwads EST-4 fire alarm system in William Street School. B. This section includes minimum requirements for the following: 1. Notification Appliance Circuit Extender Panels 2. Remote Annunciator Panels 3. Addressable Input Modules (Monitor) 4. Addressable Output Modules (Control) 5. Carbon Monoxide Detectors 6. Manual Pull Stations 7. Smoke Detectors 8. Duct Type Smoke Detectors 9. Heat Detectors 10. Audible Notification Appliances (Speakers) 11. Audible/Visual Notification Appliances (Speaker/Strobes) 12. Visual Notification Appliances 13. Magnetic Door Hold Opens 14. Batteries and Charger 15.
