A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** 2026-03 Timberwood MS Additions and Renovations Question Deadline 08/25/2025 at 4:00 PM CT We understand that this project consists of the proposed renovations to the existing Timberwood Middle School campus of the Humble Independent School District (ISD), located at 18450 Timber Forest Drive in Humble, Texas. A vicinity map of the project site is provided on Plate 1 in the Appendix of this report. The layout of the existing site and the proposed building and parking lots and driveways are shown on Plate 2 in the Appendix. Based on information provided by the, we understand the proposed renovations to the existing Timberwood Middle School campus consists of the following: o A building addition on the east side of the existing campus building to house a practive gym, a dance hall and a weight room. We anticipate that the proposed building will be a single story wood or steel frame structure, with CMU facade. We estimate that the column loads will be on the order of about 50 to 150 kips, with floor pressures on the order of about 125 psf. Finished floor elevation (FFE) of the proposed structures are anticipate to match those of the existing building. o Relocation of the existing track further east, including construction of the new concession stand building. We anticipate that understand the reconstruction will include removal of the existing ones and prepare the subgrade with a designed potential vertical movement (PVR) of one inch or less, followed by the placement of a new track system. o Construction of a fire lane. Provide all operations required in connection with the removal of asbestos containing materials in renovated areas, including the removal and proper disposal of all existing and generated trash from demolition and abatement, whether or not identified in the Asbestos Inspection Report described in Division 1 Section - Information Available to Bidders. 1. Embedded angles and plates 2. Steel Equipment Supports 3. Metal Gratings 4. Steel Plate Covers for Sidewalk Culverts 5. Miscellaneous metal work and related items. 6. Shop Priming and Finishing of Metal Fabrications A. Include the Work specified, shown, or inferable as part of Food Service Equipment. Portions of this Work may be subcontracted to those qualified to do such work as necessary because of jurisdictional trade agreements and restrictions. B. The General Contractor is responsible for Related Work specified in other Sections: i.e., final plumbing, electrical and mechanical connections. The Kitchen Equipment Contractor (KEC) is responsible for all internal connections. C. Specifications and drawings have been prepared to form the basis for procurement, erection, start-up, and equipment adjustment in this contract. Plans and specifications shall be considered mutually explanatory. Work required by one, but not by the other, shall be performed as though required by both. Items required by one but not by the other shall be provided as though required by both. Work shall be accomplished as called for in specifications and shown on drawings so that all equipment items shall be entirely functional for the purpose for which they were designed and intended. Provide all necessary material, tools, equipment, and labor required for the complete delivery, un-crating, erection, and installation as designated on the food service equipment plan and, in the specifications, to be made ready for final connection by the appropriate Division contractors. When there is any discrepancy between drawings and specifications, bidders should seek clarification of any discrepancies from the Architect and or Foodservice Design Professionals (FDP) before bidding. D. Should the drawings disagree in themselves or the specifications with the drawings (and clarification was not sought before bidding), the higher cost, better quality, more stringent, and greater quantity of the work or materials shall be completed without additional costs to the Owner. 1. The existing facilities are controlled by an existing control system as outlined below. Miscellaneous equipment is being replaced and added as indicated on drawings. Provide and install all Building Management and Control System (BMCS) components required for the equipment being replaced and being added including industrial instrumentation necessary to obtain functions and results specified. The modifications and additions to the system includes items such as sensors, valves, dampers, valve and damper operators, DDC panels, relays, terminal equipment controllers, mounting brackets and thermowell, etc. Integrate all components to provide a complete and functioning system. a. Timberwood Middle School - Reliable by Unify Energy Solutions. Work covered by this Section shall consist of furnishing labor, equipment, supplies, materials tools and testing unless otherwise specified, and in performing the following operations recognized as necessary for the installation, termination and labeling of ground and bonding infrastructure as described on the drawings and/or required by these specifications. A. This project consists of the provision and installation of a complete and functional Access Control System (ACS) as required to furnish controlled access and access detection to all controlled portals identified on the project drawings and associated Access Control Schedule. This project is a renovation and addition of the following campuses, for Humble Independent School District: 1. Creekwood Middle School - 3603 W Lake Houston Pkwy, Kingwood, TX 77339 2. Riverwood Middle School - 2910 High Valley Dr, Humble, TX 77345 B. It should not be assumed that any portions of a complete and functional system are to be furnished and/or provided by anyone, other than the ACS installer, unless specifically stated otherwise. C. Access Control Programming 1. Access Control contractor to provide basic system programming to ensure proper system functionality and correct installation. 2. Custom programming to be performed by District vender Pref-Tech ONLY. Programming cost for access control to be included in the general contractor's contract. Installing contractor shall coordinate with district vendor. A. Furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals required and perform all excavation, backfill, fill, and grading required to complete the work as shown on the Drawings and as specified herein. The work shall include but not necessarily be limited to; excavation and backfill for electrical manholes, handholes, conduits, cables, raceways and ducts; embankment and grading; disposal of waste and surplus materials; and all related work such as sheeting, bracing, and dewatering. B. All excavation, trenching, and related sheeting, bracing, etc., shall conform to the requirements of OSHA's excavation safety standards, 29 CFR 1926.650 Subpart P. A. This Section pertains to the provisions for the control of erosion in the construction area and in stockpile areas including seeding, the construction of temporary swales and sedimentation basins as required and shown on the drawings. All areas where existing vegetation and grass cover have been bared by construction activities shall be protected from erosion. B. Contractor is responsible for meeting all local, state and federal regulations regarding erosion control including the applicable provisions of the National Pollution Discharge Elimination System, Phase II, regulations from the Clean Water Act. A. Install an approved, full depth poured-in-place two-component, UV stabilized elastomeric polyurethane Dual Durometer synthetic surfacing system with embedded textured finish. B. Layout and paint all track lines and event markings as required and specified by current UIL rules.
