Reference Number 0000394986 The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to solicit professional civil engineering and potentially landscape architectural design services focused specifically on enhancing the intersections within the Galena Cooper Corridor. The City of Aspen seeks intersection-specific solutions that significantly increase pedestrian safety and comfort at downtown crossings. The project should prioritize features such as expanded curb extensions (bulb-outs), raised and visually distinctive crosswalks, improved sightlines, and accessible grading at each intersection. Emphasis will be placed on integrating these intersection improvements seamlessly with traffic flow, stormwater management, lighting, and overall pedestrian experience, ensuring that each crossing point is both functional and inviting.
