Renovation of a water / sewer project in Flowery Branch, Georgia. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
The plant is being expanded to treat a future maximum month flow of 2.2 MGD and a peak flow of 2.6 MGD Daily. This is After the Plant has already been expaneded. It it recomened to add and additional Basin to the two new ones that will present on the property (highlighted in Red) and Make the old plant basin and Clairifier into a Digester. (highlighted in Yellow) This will improve the treatment of Total Nitrogen that will be on future permits and will replaces outdated equipment like the Disc filter and Pall Filter. It will also give us more holding time for sludge due to the increased volume in the modified digester. *3 more cassettes are to be added* As of Aug 7, 2025, this project is included in the City's 2025-2029 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly.
