** As of October 3,2025 , this project has not yet been awarded.A timeline for award has not yet been established.** Major items of work include the pavement maintenance of the North and South Apron at the Foley Municipal Airport. Approximate quantities include: 1. Joint and Crack Repair 27300 LF 2. Fog Seal, Asphalt Pavement Rejuvenator 19300 SY 3.Thermoplastic Coal Tar Emulsion Surface Treatment 22000 SY 4. Markings 10450 SF The project shall be completed within 90 Calendar Days of the Issuance of Notice to Proceed. Liquidated Damages for this project shall be $500 per Calendar Day. A Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goal of 0% has been established for this project, however, DBE utilization is encouraged. The Contractor must purchase and obtain the plans and specifications from the website listed above or obtain them from Volkert in order to submit a bid. Bids must be submitted upon the forms included within the contract documents and specifications. Bids shall include all pages included in Division I - Bid Documents. Submission of the entire contract book is not required. Guarantee will be required with each bid as follows: At least 5% of the amount of the bid, but in no event more than Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000), shall be filed in the form of a certified check or bid bond payable to the Foley Municipal Airport Authority. Contract bond will be required as follows: 100% of the contract price. Labor and Materials Bond will be required as follows: 100% of the contract price. No bids will be considered unless the bidder, whether resident or non-resident of Alabama, is properly qualified with the State of Alabama. In addition, non-residents of the State, if a corporation, shall show evidence of having qualified I - 3 with the Secretary of State to do business in Alabama. No contract will be awarded unless the contractor holds a current and appropriate license from the State Licensing Board for General Contractors, Montgomery, Alabama. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of 120 days subsequent to the opening of bids without the consent of the Owner. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids and waive informalities in the bidding. Deadline for questions on this project has been moved to 12:00 p.m. Local Time, Monday, September 2, 2025
