This Request for Proposals (the "RFP") is an invitation by BC Transit (the "Owner") to prospective proponents to submit proposals for Construction Management for Services and Construction for Battery Electric Bus Charging Infrastructure - Victoria and Langford Transit Centres. This Project is a major infrastructure initiative to design and construct upgrades at both the Victoria Transit Centre located at 520 Gorge Road East, Victoria, BC ("VTC") and the Langford Transit Centre located at 1000 Henry Eng Place, Victoria, BC ("LTC"). This Project will support BC Transit and the Province's mandate to transition to a low carbon bus fleet by 2040 and will improve the capabilities of the facilities to support a mixed diesel and battery electric bus ("BEB") fleet by installing Direct Current (DC) fast chargers and associated electrical infrastructure. The Project also seeks to install infrastructure within the maintenance buildings to support new maintenance requirements for a battery electric bus fleet. Construction is anticipated to occur in two phases: Phase 1 will include all work at LTC, and Phase 2 will include all work at VTC. This contract will be awarded to a single proponent responsible for executing both phases.
