Site work and new construction of a multi-residential development in Abbotsford, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the construction of a 36,099-square-foot, six-story above grade, 62-unit multi-residential development; and for site work for a multi-residential development.

The proposed project will be a 6-storey wood frame building with approximately 42 units of supportive housing and 20 units of complex care housing, for a total of approximately 62. This project will be a unique mix of supportive housing for those experiencing or at risk of homelessness as well as complex care housing, which provides additional support to individuals with more complex or clinical needs, including those experiencing overlapping mental health and substance abuse disorders. Complex care includes person-centred services to better care for individuals with needs for services beyond those typically offered in supportive housing. The project will reflect a culturally sensitive designed and be rooted in Indigenous values and traditions. The construction method may contemplate prefabricated components. The building may include amenity areas such as a shared commercial kitchen, dining areas, laundry rooms, multipurpose gathering spaces, offices for 24hr staff, and counselling, nurse rooms and medical treatment offices for complex care. The exact programming of the building will be determined through consultation with BC Housing Operations, MMHA and Fraser Health subject matter experts. There is no underground parking or levels below grade; all parking will be on a surface lot. Landscaping to include exterior gathering spaces.
