The Project includes the following Work: Bid Section A: Install approximately 304 LF of 8-inch water main at the Springfield Soccer Complex (15117 NE-50). Cut in tee to tie into an existing 12-inch water main parallel to Highway 50. Install two hydrant assemblies on the new water main alignment and other Work indicated in the Contract Documents. Bid Section B: Replace approximately 192 LF of 4-inch inner diameter water main in the alley between 1st and 2nd St just north of Main St, near the Post Office (160 N 2nd St). Provide temporary water service during construction. Reconnect five services to the new water main, replace water service tubing, and connect to 4 new and 1 existing curb stop and other Work indicated in the Contract Documents. Bid Alternate 1: Replace water main by open cut installation of 4 C900 PVC. Bid Alternate 2: Replace water main by pipe bursting installation of 5 DR 11 IPS HDPE. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. There is no pre-bid conference for this project. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instruction to Bidders. The check(s) or bond(s) shall be made payable to Owner as security that the bidder(s) to whom the award(s) are made will enter into contract to build the improvements bid upon and furnish the required bonds and insurance. The Owner reserves the right to accept any bid which it deems most advantageous to the Owner, and to reject any or all bids submitted and to hold as many bids as it desires for consideration for a period of sixty days after the bids are open. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
