Dorchester County (the County) invites qualified firms to submit bids to provide Bay Door Replacements at Harleyville Fire & EMS Station at Harleyville Fire & EMS Station located at 134 South Railroad Avenue, Harleyville, SC 29448. Dorchester County is soliciting sealed bids from qualified contractors for the removal and replacement of six (6) overhead sectional bay doors at the Harleyville Fire & EMS Station. Work shall include all labor, materials, equipment, permits, and incidentals required to complete the project in accordance with the specifications provided herein. Bidders shall be responsible for verifying all dimensions, quantities, and site conditions prior to submitting a bid. No additional compensation will be considered for discrepancies discovered after bid submission. Scope of Work Site Preparation and Demolition Protect all surrounding areas from damage during removal and installation. Carefully dismantle and remove the existing garage doors, including all unneeded hardware, tracks, springs, and openers. Properly dispose of all removed materials in accordance with local regulations. Evaluate the existing structure for any necessary modifications or reinforcements. Any required modifications outside the stated scope must be reported to and approved by the County's representative before proceeding. A. Install six (6) Amarr 2402 Overhead Sectional Doors, each 14'2"W x 14'H, with the following specifications: o 24-gauge steel thickness o 2" deep ribbed panel design, smooth steel embossment o Color: Commercial Grey o 3" reverse angle track with standard lift and 15" radius o Certified wind load: 29.2/-33.3 PSF o Four (4) 24" x 12" vision lite windows per door o Perimeter weather seal B. Install six (6) Lift Master T751 Trolley Operators, each: o 115v, single phase, 3/4 HP motor o Monitored electric photo eyes C. Provide and program six (6) Lift Master 3-Button Remote Controls in accordance with Fire Staff/County representative requirements. D. Ensure smooth, safe operation of all doors with proper balance and alignment. E. Connect new openers to the existing electrical supply with proper wiring and safety features. Finish and Cleanup Apply any necessary paint or sealant to the new doors and surrounding areas. Remove all debris from the site and leave the work area clean. Upon completion, notify the County's representative to schedule a final walk-through inspection. Submit invoice only after satisfactory inspection and approval. Work is to be completed within thirty (30) calendar days of the Notice to Proceed (in the form of a County purchase order).
