This project includes the removal of ~2,065 LF of existing fence and the installation of ~1,760 LF of new fence. Each sealed proposal shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or satisfactory bid bond, in a sum that is not less than five (5) percent of the aggregate amount of bid, payable to the Hazard-Perry County Airport Board. The successful bidder will be required to execute Contract and To provide Contract Surety in an amount equal to one hundred (100) percent of the bid amount for performance, and a bond in The amount equal to one hundred (100) percent of the bid amount guaranteeing the payment of all labor, materials, etc. Rights to waive any formality in any proposed guarantee, to reject any and all bids, and to negotiate with the apparent low bidder to such extent as may be necessary, are reserved. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of sixty (60) calen-dar days after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids. Bids may be held by KCPF for a period not to exceed sixty (60) calendar days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of evaluating bids prior to award of contract. KCPF reserves the right to cancel this request in writing or post-pone the date and time for submitting bids at any time before the bid due date. KCPF by this request does not promise to accept the lowest cost or any other proposal and specifically reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive any formal proposal requirements, to investigate the qualifications and experience of any proposer, to reject any provisions in any proposal, to modify contents, to obtain new proposals, and contract terms with any bidder, and to negotiate with the apparent qualified responsible proposer to such extent as may be beneficial to KCPF. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
