D5 West Burlington 5 Bay Cold Storage Replacement and 50/50 Pole Building Repair The Iowa DOT is seeking competitive bids for two separate projects at the West Burlington Maintenance Garage located at 617 Beaverdale Rd., West Burlington, IA 52655 as follows: Project 1: The construction of a new wood pole 5 Bay building replacement in the new DOT standard over an existing concrete slab as per the Project Manual and Plans labeled 'Project #1' on the Buyers Attachment section of this RFB. The existing pad is approximately 40 'x 90' (was 6 stalls and 14' wide x 12' tall). Replacement construction of building includes: 1. Reuse slab and passage door stoops 2. Reuse approach 3. Reuse electrical panel-currently being protected New Pole building includes the following, refer to Plans and Project Manual for full scope: 1. Number of bays reduced to 5 stalls. 2' between overhead doors, extra length split evenly to each end. 2. Door size 14' x 14' (5 each manual, non-insulated) 3. EAVE height increased to 16' 4. Transparent panel on back wall Project 2: The structural repair of the 50/50 Pole Building as per the attached Plans and Project Manual labeled 'Project #2' on the Buyers Attachment section. ALL BIDS ARE TIED; CONTRACTORS MUST BID ON BOTH PROJECTS TO MEET COMPLIANCE FOR THIS RFB. BOTH PROJECTS WILL BE AWARDED TO ONE CONTRACTOR THAT IS SELECTED FOR THE AWARD. The Iowa DOT bidding process is subject to the procedures and requirements established in Iowa Administrative Code 761--20.
