Site work and paving for a civil project in North Wilkesboro, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a development; for paving for a development; road / highway; and road / highway.

The work includes seeding, stone base, grading, asphalt trail repair, erosion and sediment control, and other restoration activities as detailed in the plans and specifications. Contract Base Bid Scope of Work to Include per Plans Issued: o Contractor shall provide, install, and maintain all necessary erosion control devices. Contractor shall comply with all requirements of the erosion and sediment control regulaons. Due to phased project limits/limits of disturbance remaining under 1 acre, the NCG01 permit may not be required; however, all precauons should be in place as if a permit were required. The contractor is responsible for erosion control permi%ng and any issue related to sediment management. Contractor shall maintain the work area so that at any me the area of disturbance is less than 1 acre. o Demolion and removal of exisng site features. o Fill and grading restoraon. Contractor may use on-site materials for backfill. All grading to be uniform and smooth. o On-site storage may be used for the Greenway and Restoraon. o The Contractor shall always protect the work area. Greenway traffic will be detoured during construcon. o All work allowed within 25 1. stream buffer shall be stabilized at the end of each day. o The Contractor shall include in their bid all required geotechnical work and tesng to verify soil and maintenance quality and compacon. o Contractor shall be responsible for all survey work and staking. A .dwg file can be provided. A benchmark will be provided upon request. Benchmark shall not be disturbed; replacement of benchmark will be at the contractor's expense. o If any grading discrepancies are found, it is the responsibility of the contractor to nofy the engineer prior to conducng work. No addional payment will be made for work or reworking of areas outside of the knowledge of the Engineer. o The contractor shall be responsible for all site preparaon, including but not limited to trees/shrub and stump removal. Vegetaon removal shall be completed as directed. o All work shall be in accordance with the a9ached specificaons and drawings unless otherwise directed by the project documents or the Engineer. o All work shall be completed as detailed in the contract and drawings upon receipt of the "Noce to Proceed" document. o Contractor shall be responsible for removal of all equipment, debris, and trash from site at project construcon compleon. o The contract may become null and void if work is not performed within the agreed dates. o Base bid shall be on a lump-sum basis. o Contractor agrees to comply with all laws and permi%ng condions. All contractors must be properly licensed in accordance with Chapter 87 of the North Carolina General Statutes. No bid may be withdrawn for 30 days after the opening.
