Repair and Renovation of Annex Office Building This project is to repair an existing office area and exterior masonry wall damage by vehicle. Bid directions/specifications and architectural drawings are below, click on links to open. To schedule a pre-bid site visit contact Karl Opheim, Assistant Director. This project proposes repairing an existing office area and an exterior masonry wall area damaged by a vehicle at the Bay City Housing Commission (BCHC). Scope of work includes: Recreation of offices, construction of walls, suspended ceiling panel and grid, replacing lighting, reciprocal circuits, conduit, wiring; Cat 6 communications outlets, doors and frames, storage area, painting, repair of damaged exterior CMU and brick veneer wall; replacing four exterior windows. Some existing gypsum walls will need repair, cleaning, primed and painted; one temporary interior 2'x4'supporting wall will need to be removed. BCHC will solicited separately for the installation of replacement flooring coverings and cabinetry for the workroom. Alternate bid I requested for contractor to install these cabinet. This is not a federal prevailing wage project; however, documentation of payroll and fringe benefits will be required for all on-site workers. The Contractor will be required to complete and submit payroll form WH347 for each week during the course of work. Performance bond is required by BCHC Procurement Policy for all contracts over $50,000. Bids over $50,000 need to include the cost for a Performance Bond. A Bid bond is not required. Liability and Worker's Compensation Insurance. No work under any contract or any other agreement may begin without liability and workman's compensation insurance in force and Certificate(s) of Insurance has been obtained by BCHC as required by policy including the Certificate of Insurance on file with the John Neeb, Chief Financial Officer. All policies shall name the Bay City Housing Commission as an additional named insured. A completed IRS W-9 is required by BCHC. Bid Evaluations. Bay City Housing Commission reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive any informality in the quote request process, or to terminate this quote process at any time. Price will be the primary factor however under competitive proposal process, consideration of factors such completion time and negotiation of scope of work if bid price exceeds budget. Withdrawal of bids or offers are Bay City Housing Commission allowed at any time up until the point of award. Award will be made on the basis of the proposal that represents the best overall value to the Bay City Housing Commission.
