Renovation of a water / sewer project in Norfolk, Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

Only Civil/Paving MACC Contractors listed on the General Requirements cover page may submit a proposal for this ROICC Camp Lejeune area of responsibility project. See attached documents for scope of work and any applicable drawings. Requests for Information (RFIs): RFIs must be submitted by the prime contractor to dana.l.seamon.civ@us.navy.mil. The cut off for RFIs is 8/15/2025 by 3:00 PM EST in order to process all inquiries by the proposal due date. Estimated Cost Range: Between $100,000 and $250,000 This project will demolish and replace an existing 24" corrugated metal pipe (CMP) under E Street with a new 36" reinforced concrete pipe (RCP). This pipe will connect to an existing precast doghouse structure that was placed by others that is to be completed in this project. The other end of the pipe will tie into a drop inlet that is to be replaced with a new precast drop inlet structure. All other pipes are to remain in place. The contractor will also provide and install a curb inlet as shown in the plans and complete the sidewalk that was left out. DETAILED REQUIREMENTS: 1. Contractor shall sawcut and remove existing asphalt as shown in the plans to access the damaged pipe. 2. Remove the existing CMP between the new doghouse and existing manhole. 3. Remove the existing manhole on plan east end of the CMP. 4. Contractor shall provide and install new 36" RCP and new manhole. Preserve all downstream piping and all inverts are to remain at same elevation. 5. Backfill the new pipe and repave the area that was sawcut and removed per pavement detail. 6. Contractor shall provide and install the remaining concrete sidewalk as shown. GENERAL NOTES: 1. Contractor shall locate all underground utilities, including telecommunications and commercial cabling, prior to ground disturbing activities. 2. Contractor shall field verify all measurements. 3. Preserve and protect all existing utilities, including telecommunications and commercial cabling. 4. Contractor is responsible for any damage to utilities, including telecommunications and commercial cabling. 5. Contractor is responsible to coordinate commercial cabling with commercial cabling providers 6. All utility work shall be in accordance with applicable state and local codes. 7. Contractor shall coordinate all construction activities with ROICC, I&E, and base utilities. 8. Sod any disturbed areas upon completion of construction. 9. Jobsite shall be kept clear of all debris and trash. 10. Contractor shall be responsible for all aspects of environmental, health and safety (EHS). Contractor shall be responsible for complying with its policies and procedures related to EHS matters. TRAFFIC CONTROL NOTES: 1. Provide traffic control and road closure plan to be reviewed by the ROICC. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
