Only Contractors of the Small Business Indefinite Delivery / Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Multiple Award Construction Contract (MACC) for Utility Mechanical Construction, primarily in the Hampton Roads, Virginia Area of Responsibility (AOR), under Contract Nos. N4008523D0043 through N4008523D0048, are eligible to submit proposals for this project. The work involves extending a 34.5kV underground circuit from Navy South Switching Station circuit #5 (NS-5) to existing Switch #232, way 1. This new underground circuit will replace the NS-15 overhead circuit as the primary 34.5kV line for the SA Substation, with the NS-15 overhead circuit then serving as redundancy. Demolition includes removing circuit NS-5 from the Navy South Switching Station to electrical manholes (EMH) #3803, #3804, #3805, #3746, #3745, #3744, and #3743A. New work includes installing 3-1/C #750kcmil 35kV EPR and 1#4/0, 600V Cu ground cable from circuit breaker #5 in the Navy South Switching Station to Switch 232 way 1, routed through the existing underground ductbank system from EMH #3803 to EMH #3408B.
